Global Launch Alignment Across Functions
Enabling integrated launch visibility and stronger cross-functional alignment across a global pharmaceutical organisation.
Functions were progressing independently
A global pharmaceutical organisation recognised that functions were progressing independently with limited integrated visibility. Individual teams had their own views of progress, risks and readiness, but leadership lacked a consistent single source of truth across the launch programme.
The organisation selected a platform to improve integrated visibility, reduce time spent preparing slides and show both functional views and overall programme health.
The Challenge
Launch readiness information was fragmented across functions, making it difficult to understand dependencies, expose risks early and support confident decision-making across global teams.
My Role
As one of two consultants brought in to introduce the system and support launches, I chaired cross-functional teams, established reporting mechanisms and helped teams understand dependencies across regulatory, supply chain, medical, commercial and affiliate readiness.
The Outcome
Improved communication, better understanding between functions, streamlined decision-making and stronger launch readiness across global functions and markets.
Creating a single integrated view of launch delivery
I helped teams move from isolated functional tracking toward an integrated programme view, where dependencies, risks and readiness could be seen across the launch environment.
The focus was not simply technology adoption. It was changing the rhythm of programme communication, creating better governance habits and helping teams use shared information to drive practical decisions.
Key Themes
Global launch readiness, cross-functional alignment, single source of truth, commercial readiness, affiliate coordination and executive visibility.
Key Insight
Global launches do not fail because functions lack capability. They fail when those functions are not aligned around a single, integrated view of delivery.
Relevance
This type of work is relevant when global launch teams need clearer readiness tracking, stronger governance and better alignment across functions, markets and leadership teams.
